Creating snow with different techniques is one of my favorite things to do. You can create snow in so many different ways, and here I used texture paste, paint splatters and Tim Holtz's new mica flakes.
Start with a layer of gesso and then paint the sky with shades of blue. Apply texture paste through the deer stencil. When dry, paint the deer with Distress Paints. Add a thick layer of snow in the foreground by applying texture paste with a palette knife. Leave to dry overnight.
When the paste is dry, add shading to the snow and darker blues to the sky. Apply gel medium and sprinkle mica flakes on top.
Glue the sentiment sticker to the background to make sure they stick well.
Thank you so much for looking!!
Happy crafting!
