This card was inspired by Retro Rubber Challenge Blog #124 Tic-Tac-Toe ( https://www.retrorubberchallengeblog...c-tac-toe.html) I chose the top horizontal row for the challenge (metallics, mode of transportation, pattern paper).
The list of supplies are listed below at the end of this post.
The red panel was embossed using a swirly embossing folder and glued to the green card base. The pattern paper is a lovely plaid with gold metallic stripes on it that repeats the colors of the truck image, card base, and truck. I also chose a pattern that was diagonal to interrupt the rectangles theme used to create the card.
The truck image is from the retired 2004 Stampin' Up! (SU) set called "Loads of Love". I hand colored it with Copic Markers. To create the tree hanging out of the back of the truck, I stamped and cut out a clear mask that I laid over the truck before stamping the tree. The hubcaps and bumpers were colored with a metallic marker.
The truck image was die cut using a dotted rectangles die, then a mat was created using the next size up die with gold foil cardstock. To make the gold-matted image stand out more, I cut a rectangle of craft foam and glued it onto the back of the foil layer before gluing the entire element to the card front. This will allow the card to survive being mailed because of the solid backing rather than strips of foam.
I am rating the difficultly level of this card as a "3" only because of all the steps required to create it. No single step was difficult at all.
