Looked through a bunch of patterned paper until I found one that showed nicely through the vellum. Ran the vellum through the Big Shot with a pine branch embossing folder, then sponged the raised boughs (carefully- it was hard not to tear it) until they had enough color. Used spray adhesive to adhere the vellum to the patterned paper (and it stinks, by the way). Trimmed that to fit onto the gold card base and layered them. Die cut and layered the ornaments, then mounted with dimensionals on the card. Added a die cut Merry Christmas (that die is getting SUCH a workout this week!), and embellished with green diamond dots in the corners, a red one dotting the i, and a tiny red rhinestone on the red ornament.
I avoided this challenge for so long, not knowing how I was going to use vellum, but this worked for me, and I really love the way it looks. Maybe more vellum in my future?

Beautiful ornaments, and love that background. Shows beautifully behind the vellum. I have always had problems with gluing vellum. I will have to try the spray; I have some.
