For Lyn's TLC769 distress ink monoprint challenge.
I was so glad to see her feature this as it's been on my "try this" list. I'll have to try again with DOX, because my two attempts with regular distress were fails. So while her challenge stipulates to create TWO cards, using both prints, I settled for combining my two prints on one. Weirdly, even though the un-embossed areas are bleached out to almost white on my other piece, the second print is even fainter than this one.
I used the distress inks listed above and sponged loads on, so I thought. Stamped and embossed Geologic and followed the directions.
I'd no idea where I was going to go with the background, I was kind of thinking snowman. But in the end, when I realised that combining the two prints was my best option, I used a Bethlehem border for the second print, and picked up on the purple with my foreground wise men.
Matted onto gold mirror card. The sentiment and star are cut from one of my tomato paste tubes.

This is gorgeous...I love the colors and they work well for the sky and the Bethlehem die. I had some problems when I did mine, too..the first attempt I spritzed on too much water. In the video she did say you can spritz again the areas that didn't transfer and put thru your machine. I also realized that my versamark wasn't juicy enough so it didn't transfer to the paper.. Just some thoughts...

Oh my goodness this is so beautiful Sabrina. I love how you combined the two backgrounds. Your Christmas cards are all amazing. I hope you get a chance to photograph them all together.
