Our dear Susie is hosting a tea party for my mom who recently moved into an assisted living facility.
At first, mom was not keen on the idea of moving, but I can happily say she has adjusted very well to her new surroundings and know she will be thrilled to receive cards for her first Christmas in her new home.
To accommodate Susie's fun challenge of the twelve days/things of Christmas, I chose a Screen Divider card.
I cut the black CS to size and cut the top with a scalloped punch and the bottom with another punch. I used gold glitter paper as my base layer on the inside panels, then using SU toile DP in red and green, I embossed them in a corrugated embossing folder and sponges some antique linen DI along the edges. I stamped and die cut holly leaves and adhered to the corners. I die cut the letters for the French sentiment and glued accordingly. (Mom was born and raised in France, the Alsace region)
Instead of using a Santa and Christmas tree, I opted for a party dress for Mrs. Santa made up of die cut pine boughs on a dimensional dress form that I had in my stash.
The baubles were stamped in mute vintage colors, then clear embossed for shine.
The silver glitter panels were partially die cut with a border edge.
For the last panel, I stamped the Eiffel Tower on kraft and fussy cut. I stamped and fussy cut the presents with the same colors as the baubles and placed accordingly with one package popped up on foam dot.
I finished with adding a Fleur-de-lis sticker next to the Eiffel Tower.
I glued the cotton lace ribbon at the bottom then added the four panels accordingly.
Thanks again Susie and thanks in advance for those who can join the tea party for Mom.
This will be a wonderful Christmas to remember!!

Oh Jeannie where do I start, this is magnifique my friend. I love your take on Santa and the tree, I'm chuckling as I type. Your screen divider with all the "days of Christmas" plus many more elements is amazing. I had better get busy baking cookies for our Tea party for your dear mum. I can't wait to see the gallery.

Wow, all the bells and whistles on this one, Jeannie. How special for her. I haven't been to Holmen but I think my daughter in LaCrosse has talked about something there. Can't remember. Love those screens and all your wonderful details. Favd.

This is a brilliant card..the screen design is a wonderful way to display all your elements. I love the dress with the hanging ornaments! The toile red and green papers are lovely and the Eiffel Tower as a bow to her birthplace is perfect!

This is a really fun card, Jeannie! I like the way you added the holly to the corners and the party dress tree branches with ornaments is a fun touch. So thoughtful of you to add some Paris items to the card too. She will love this one~

Oh! I wish I'd known about the French connection - my mother was French too (Normandy). But I'd have ended up with a totally different card if I'd tried to work that in. I did make my sister an Eiffel Tower Christmas card one year. Great use of the screen format. Love the baubles decorating the dress, and I think the lace along the bottom is an especially neat finish.
