For Anita‚e(TM)s Falliday Fest tree challenge: my husband just LOVES it when the tamaracks turn golden yellow in the fall, and he says his dad enjoys the turn, too. I usually draw inspiration from nature for Roger‚e(TM)s cards, and I saw it from behind the windshield on one of my drives this fall- the perfect contrast between the turned tamaracks and the bold pines they were nestled behind. I did my best to recreate the detail in the trees by first inking my stamp and then adding interest by a bit of water spritzed on the wet ink before I stamped them.
Additionally, the pines are accented by some subtle glitter to help them stand out from behind the burlap ribbon.
For CAS559: my trees go vertical, though I‚e(TM)m thinking with the die cut top panel, perhaps I went too far for this to be considered ‚eoeCAS?‚e Ugh! I‚e(TM)m not sure anymore!
For CAS554: this card is definitely ‚eoefor the boys.‚e ;)
Thanks so much for looking!!!!

What a fabulous birthday card for your FIL. We heated with wood mostly when I was growing up and my dad preferred to burn tamarack, it is only recently that I learned about how they turned golden. Lovely card!
