Today is my Desmondâs half-birthday and he usually gets up looking for his half-birthday card, so I remembered to make one today. I drew and cut out a cake and then stamped six and a half candles and cut them with my ScanNCut. Annâs Falliday Fest challenge was perfect to give my background that bit of added interest. I sponged Candied Apple and then inked up a birthday background stamp with Candied Apple, spritzed and stamped. Then I decorated the card with glitter because I still can do that for my six and half year old boy.

That's really cute and fun!! A half birthday makes waiting for a birthday so much easier. HB i/2 to Desmond.

How funny, Jen! Half birthday? great idea for a youngster. Don't think I want to celebrate that for me. The whole birthday is enough. If I could just roll back a few, I'd be happy.

How fun to have a half birthday!! I like that idea! I think my kids are too old to think that'd be fun, but I just might try it on them and the grands!!!

What a delightful way to celebrate your son with a half birthday! Love your festive cake and the great background, and glitter because you still can LOL!
