I've combined today's technique challenge with Polly's Falliday Fest challenge. I wish I had an interesting story for my favorite Christmas tradition but my favorite really is decorating the tree. I love all the memories in each one of my ornaments. It's so good to see them again each November.
I don't have watercolor powders so I tried the technique with liquid watercolors but I may have let it dry too much before I took the stencil off. It was stuck in there pretty good. Anyway, it's a pretty neat background as long as it's not the focal point.

Beautiful card Jen I love the bright yellow behind your Christmas tree, I love to dress my tree too but this year I won't because we're going to our children for the holidays

I think it's a lovely bright and happy background - and your image is sweet. I love decorating the tree and the memories with each ornament too. When we were kids, the tree became the focus of our play for a couple of weeks - the only ornament we weren't allowed play with was the Santa made from an eggshell.
