Boy - do those hand made watercolor paint pots look scrummy! It makes me want to order all of them! I don't do much, nor have great skills for watercoloring - but I love the look of the paints in their trays and containers!
I'm in Thanksgiving mode now and so water colored a big die cut leaf with autumn colors. I used watercolor paper. I just adhered the leaf along the center so the edges would stay curled up a bit (which happens when you wet thewatercolor paper for watercoloring) so it looks like a leaf that had just fallen to the ground on the card!
My panel behind the leaf is actually monoprint stenciled using a beautiful succulent stencil but the leaf ended up covering most of it! Monoprint stenciling is the November challenge over at CAS Stencil. Check out my blog post here to see the technique!
I splatterd the next layer panel with a brown water color paint.
The stamp is from an older PTI set - Autumn Abundance.
Accessories: leaf die - Sizzix, Succulent Stencil - Stencil Girl, Kuretake Water color paints Cadmium Scarlet, Yellow Ochre, Lemon Yellow, Burnt Sienna, water brushes, water
Beautiful card, Julia! I love that large leaf and the monoprint stenciled panel is a great BG for it! I need to use that technique more often--thanks for the reminder! Love the splattered outer frame, too!
