It's Tickle a Teapotter day! This month our hostess is Kelly (ScrappinCEO) and she has challenged us to bring out jack o'lanterns, scarecrows, and fall things. She's also shared her sweet fall memories at a place called Tanner's Orchard--looks so fun, Kelly!! But a little fattening with all those delicious looking treats. WOW.
I chose to make a scarecrow card because I had this scarecrow head stamp hanging around waiting to get used. What am I going to do with scarecrow head? Well, I decided to put that head on a different scarecrow body and how cute is that scarecrow with his big smile? I was totally going to put this in the "go" pile, but how could I abandon that face? I have used up all my scarecrow jokes already this fall, so I stuck with a simple "Hay Y'All". Although it wasn't really that simple. The stamp really says "Hey Y'All". I had to stamp it without the E and draw in the A. I really enjoyed coloring the sweet scarecrow and I popped his head up on foam. I gave his bandana some detail with a white gel pen and then gaves his eyes some shine with a black glaze pen (a new toy for me--love it). And since I'm on a Stickles kick now that I went to a cardmaking blitz event and we used loads of Stickles, I added some red Stickles. Since he had that cute bandana around his neck, I had to use some bandana DP for the background and I also included some panels of faux denim complete with faux stitching around the edges and some burlap pulled apart to look like the hay hanging out around his feet. I sure had fun making this card. Thanks for a great challenge, Kelly!

Oh my goodness I love that you used the head and put it on another body, that is brilliant and what a fun card you created with it too. Some teapotter is going to love this card.

That's one cute scarecrow, Jen. I like the matching bandana background, too, and the rustic feel from the burlap. Stickles are always fun to use (okay, except when the bottle gets clogged and it doesn't come out :-().
