I had never considered trying Chalks on black cardstock until I saw today's Technique lover's challenge - This also gave me a chance to try out one of my new landscape silhouette stamps ( my prize from Sweet n Sassy stamps in this year's Dare to Get Dirty Challenges!)
I stamped my image in watermark ink onto black cardstock and embossed with clear powder - Then using the neon shades in my chalk palette applied bright yellow, orange, pink & blue to the city skyline rubbing the color on with cottonballs. I added the narrowest of frames in Neon pink then mounted onto my white card base. I love the nightglow I got from the chalks - it was quick and I could easily layer the colors exactly where I wante4d them!

Chalk pastels are lovely on black - Canson have a lot of dark shades in their Mi-Teintes range especially intended for chalks. The night glow is super - in this case it's definitely not light pollution, though when we drive home at night I always like the long country stretches when we can actually see the night sky ;-). Enjoy your prize, SNSS have some great stamps and I'm sure it was hard to choose.
