I've been looking at various plaid builder stamps and thought I'd start with a stencil as a cheaper option and see how often I actually used it. This was my first time trying it, so it was just random colours. I reckoned they'd work for Christmas, so I inked up this stamp which has been sitting out beside me on my desk for a couple of months now. It's coloured with Polychromos pencils, with the sky sponged in with regular distress inks. I added some Stickles and Liquid Pearls, and used glitter snow paste for the foreground. Plenty of matting and layering in colours to match the plaid. I used a Spellbinders label to cut the sentiment, tracing round it with a black pen. It's finished off with a little sprig of holly - the tips of the leaves are popped up on foam.
