For Polly's Textured Burst MIXed media challenge. As well as my texture paste and Brushos I have acrylics and Inktense pencils, plus a gel pen.
I did my stencilling before work yesterday. In the evening I added all the colour, but was too tired to see where to go next. This morning I decided to go with a strip layout, and staggered the height of each one. I found a gel print in my box that was similar colours, so I cut a border from it, and tucked some leaves in after embossing the sentiment and sprinkling it with Aged Teal chunky EP. The foliage is a cling-wrap background piece, and I added outlines with a silver gel pen. The butterfly is the second-last of my batch of 12 from when I stamped and coloured the full set - time to make another lot. I added silver pen edging to its wings.
It looks bright - but it really does, since DH asked was it alcohol inks, and then Copics even though he knows I don't have any.
Thanks for a fun challenge, Polly.

Your burst of color on the textured bg is brilliant! I love the vibrant colors and also that you were able to sneak in that bit of gel print on the bottom. The graduated strip layout is another wonderful aspect to this design. This was worth the wait. Enjoy your day with family.

How on earth am I going to narrow down my list for Best of 2019 when you keep producing so many jaw dropping creations. This is off the charts Sabrina and it should be framed!! I love that C knows about Copics. Have a great day with your family.

Wow....just popping with wonderful color, Sabrina. You've used such a pretty stencil and I like how you did the bottom. Have to say, also, that's a gorgeous butterfly. How funny about DH asking if it was Copics when he knew it wasn't. Ha
