This is for Polly's Mix Challenge and Robin's It's the Little Things request. I smeared fiber paste through the leaves stencil and let dry. Didn't take too long. Sprinkled on 4 colors of Brusho and spritzed with water, sprinkling more pigment and water till I was very happy as is and chickened out with the next suggested steps of adding more, shapes gesso & paint.
My neighbor's dog, Briar, had a lovely 10 1/2 year life and I thought this would be a great BG to honor her dog as all the leaves are in their glory and have yet to fall. I traced the dog stencil from a little Dover book, Scan N Cut it 4 times for dimension, gluing them together and glitter embossing the top. Autumn in Oregon always makes me smile. This is one of those months where I always want the time to go slow.

I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one who chickened out on the extra steps. I found it hard to imagine stamping on all that texture! I love your leafy background stencil and warm autumnal colours. What a lovely card for your neighbour - Briar has sure gone to a happy hunting ground here.

Your bg is stunning...it captures that fall feeling perfectly. I love the colors and texture. It really looks like the fog is running through the leaves.
