Todayâs tea party is for a gentleman in need of some good cheer as he recovers from painful back surgery.
This underwater fishing theme is a one layer card that started by blending some DOX colors for the water. Then added the stencil and blended in more colors for the fish. I never thought Iâd have a use for the very skinny blending brushes; they sure came in handy for the small details.
I stamped the sentiment thinking that would be the finishing touch, but looked a little lost by itself.
Using a pencil, I first sketched in the bottom of a boat, then outlined and hand drew in the boat. Then took the pencil and shaded in the boat as if it was being seen from below the water.
Itâs a very dark rainy day here today and unfortunately my lighting skews the overall look.
Thanks for looking.

I love the effect you got with the fish and your sentiment -- and I'm very impressed with your hand-drawn boat -- it really pulls the whole card together.

Wow Jeannie! This underwater scene you created is amazing! I am completely impressed with your hand-drawn boat too. This sentiment is fantastic and will give the recipient a good reason to chuckle. I really love this card and I am truly impressed with how you made this. ~Karen.

This is awesome.....the fish's point of view! So pretty from this angle and you have the perfect saying, Your hand drawn boat is right at home in that corner.

If anyone could hand-draw a boat, it would be Ramsey Mae's grandma! Wow Jeannie this is fabulous. Love your blended stenciled scene, gorgeous colours and cute little sentiment. The icing on the cake is the boat!! Thanks so much for coming to our Teaparty for Dan.
