Happy Tuesday. I made this for today's colour challenge CC759. Karen is our hostess today and she chose - Rococo Rose, Pear Pizzazz, Mango Melody and the desert option is Woodgrain.
I borrowed the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and die cuts from my mother-in-law, Sharron to use for today's CC. I do not have any of the Stampin Up colours, so I used the closest ones to them that I had. I stamped the image with Antique Linen for the leaves and coloured with copic markers. I stamped the image again with going grey ink for the Flower - it high lighted the image better after it was coloured - showed more definition on the pedals. I cut the flower out and popped it up. I used the SU Hardwood embossing folder on the pink dp. Cut out 2 1/2 in squares of the dp's. Matted the squares with Kraft dp. Sewed around edges. I created a pocket for the flower stem . Stamped the sentiment on white card stock, cut it out and matted with kraft dp. Sewed around the edges. Assembled the card. Finished the inside.
This works for this months fan club theme as well - New kid on the Block.
Mine is a square card and I also made 4 square blocks in the design.
I hope you will come and play along with us.
Hugs... Pat

I love the warm look you've given this magnolia with the wood texture, warm colors and, of course, your wonderful stitching. It is so great to have you designing with us this month. Welcome aboard!

What a beautiful card, Pat! And so much work put into every little detail. Love the squares, the woodgrain embossing, the stitching, but most of all, of course, that beautiful 3-D flower!
