For Janelle's MIX348 Band-It Goodness MIXed media challenge. Thanks to an early post and DH getting up early this morning, I had my background made before I left for work, and I brought the sentiment and dragonfly in to fussy-cut there .
Masked a circle. Put my square on the Big Shot plate as per Janelle's description, added elastic bands and sprayed with two colours of Lindy's Starburst. By the time I'd done my physio exercises this was dry, and I could move on to removing the mask. I used a circle media plate in the stamp press and built of layers of ink and a little stencilling. Added the Prickles. Reverse masked the circle and stamped and embossed the Lunar Buds, then used bleach to lift the colour from them, and re-inkers to brighten them up. I used a black pen to doodle a frame in the gap between the circle and the background. Added the sentiment (the blue is a bit off but all the other colours are true. It's Mermaid Lagoon, embossed with clear, then buffed with some metallic rub-on from Craft-T, and then SN clear glitter pen) and the dragonfly - stamped and embossed on thin watercolour paper, Pixie powders for the body, Stickles for the wings. I sponged a little yellow before adding the dragonfly.
It was almost a one-layer card, but I thought it would look nice cut down with the white lines carrying through to the base layer, so I did that.

Love how your background looks. I like how the white matting of your background looks. Your instincts of the white going into the white was spot on. Great job with this technique.

This is gorgeous, Sabrina! I love the colors of your bg as well as your fab dragonfly! I seem to forget that bleach does make things lighter and removes paint.( Maybe I should glue it to my wall!)
