It's tickle a Teapotter time and Jen (Miss Boo) is our guest hostess. She's got a fun challenge for us and I hope you'll come play along! We have been challenged to use bees on our cards with extra cookies if we used some apple red. I had this card all planned in my head with bees buzzing around some apples, but when I went to Evernote looking for bee images, I came up with this one that I've never used. And that's when I had a picture of them soaring over the city on an apple red construction beam. I just couldn't resist. So I made a cut file of a construction beam for my ScanNCut and cut that out. Then I stamped this Concord & 9th city that I bought while I was shopping in St. Paul with Polly. I stamped it twice and cut them out. I couldn't let the negative go to waste, so I sponged on some background buildings in gray. I stamped the bees on the card and colored them and sponged a cloudy sky around them. Then I masked and sponged the beam to give it some dimension and shaded a bit with a black colored pencil. I stuck it on underneath the bees and drew some wire to hold it up. Then I got out my ExactlyWrite Address Guide and my Crayola Supertip marker and hand-lettered my "Just Bee-Cause" sentiment. I had loads of fun creating this scene. I love Teapot Tickle Time!
Thanks for the fun challenge, Jen!

ROTFL...worker bees. This is as cute as it is clever Jen. Love your handwriting...I looked to see what brand the fun sentiment was. Everything about this makes me smile.

Love, love this. Bummer, the only exception I make to the random draw is if someone draws the same person twice in a row, and you sent to me last month so I haven't a chance of getting this. It just makes me SMILE. Your cityscape is super but I just adore those worker bees.

I wonder if bees sing as they go off to work. I know they buzz. this is enchanting....i'm a sucker for city scapes, don't use my images enough. this is when I know I should use digis.

Jen, this is sooooooo fun! The skyline is cool but the bees are cooler. Great card. Hugz
