For the lattice, I die cut the leaf opening, then used a grid to pierce holes around the edge, and stitched the lattice with black thread. The background is done with brushos. I didn't want the pierced ends of the threads showing, so I die cut a circle and then die cut the same leaf in the center to cover the threads and define the leaf better.
