DH had earmarked this gel print for a friend, but he didn't like the card I made with it (at that stage, a more masculine gingham bear in kraft, and no verse. So I switched out the bear for something more feminine, added a verse and will mail it out on Monday. The background is a gel print on a book page. The tree was cut from copper card. The solid leaves are alcohol inks on glossy photo paper, with the gilding flakes buffed in while it was still tacky. The taller grass is a cling-wrap background, the short one is the offcut of a gel print. The bear was white card sponged with antique linen and then stamped in the two greens. I used a TH metallic distress crayon to edge the panel.

Good thing I'm sitting down, the fall would have hurt me! Wow Sabrina this is a mixed media masterpiece. I love the rich depth of colour and fabulous scene. I love how you did the bear, this is such a unique creation. I could get lost in this forest. I hope you can tell how much I love this.

I think I counted some 6 techniques plus more materials.
I really love how your mind works. I would not have thought of putting the gild flakes into the leaves for example.

I have missed out on a bunch of your recent cards....this is so cool! That gel print creates a moody, dark forest from a fairy tale (I'm thinking Princess Bride). The copper tree with some of the leaves left off goes so well with it. The print bear is totally unexpected ...and I love it! Very clever Sabrina!
