This is one of those cards that I just donât like and I donât know why. No matter how many more things I threw at it, I couldnât make it better. Lisaâs thread challenge made me decide to use this cross stitch heart die that I got from Waffle Flower. I needed to make a card for my cousinâs wife who is going through chemo and losing her hair. I felt like handlettering and I found a sentiment that I like. Iâm happy with that part. But I think my problem is in the DP that I used. I think itâs too dark for the white panel. So I sponged some Antique Linen on the white to soften it. It did my wonky stitching and put the card together, but it needed something else. So I stamped these stitched hearts and buttons and cut them out with my ScanNCut. Then I added some white gel pen highlights to my dark DP and a black border. Better but still not great.

YOu know, I like it. I had a terrible time with my card today. Migraine all day yesterday, down for the night at 7:30.........maybe we are being affected by the weather!!!!!!!!!

I kinda wanted to use that die for this challenge too, but didn't get to it. The sentiment works so well with it. I don't think the DP is too dark at all - using the same colours in the little patchwork additions certainly ties them in.

I am nearly certain I have this old SU image and not sure if I have ever used it. I love it with this great stitched heart die cut too. Terrific card Jen.
