Edited version: Now I added better details since I posted quickly from my phone since we are vacationing. I do not type that well on a shuttle bus with a phone!
Barbara has the most tranquil combination of colors this week with a bird or feathers as dessert. I just had to see what would happen if I tried them out with my new Halloween set since it had both a bird and a feather. I started by using Shimmer Black powder to emboss my raven on Old
Olive card stock. The branch is embossed on Pretty Peacock. Both were fussy cut. The raven has an Old Olive rhinestone eye.
I made the background for my bird by masking a moon on Pool Party Card stock and then blending Old Olive and Pretty ink refills(mixed with white craft refill to make them blend better) for a maybe kinda scary night sky.
Though it may be hard to tell from my photo, the Olive border is vellum. I tried embossing the vellum with feathers but it was just too much. One dessert is enough anyway, right?
I hope you will get a chance to play along with us this week! SO many possibilities....

I love your simple layout, with the saying, and the raven taking center stage!
