Our theme this month was from Kelly. We had to use a stencil someplace on our card. Well, I don't own any stencils. But, I decided to use one of my Tim Holtz background dies to made a honeycomb look. I made my own stencil and proceeded to sponge the Apricot Appeal first...then came back with some More Mustard ink. I did one corner first....did both colors. Turned the card base...did the other corner the same way. I decided to use some of the shapes cut out of the honeycomb. I inked those up....then glued a few of those for the background. Giving it a little bit of a 3D effect...I didn't want them as high as the sentiment and the bear. I used Stickles on the wings of the bees.
Thanks Kelly for the stencil challenge. It certainly had me thinking outside of the box. Using some of my tools in a different way!!
Thanks for popping in....remember to "bee happy!"
