Chris is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us some bright colors! Real Red, Granny Apple Green, and Call Me Clover. The dessert option this week is Plaid.
I resisted the obvious temptation to make a Christmas card with these colors. That would've been too easy! So instead, I went with a red poppy. The flower is three layers: Real Red stamped off one time, then Real Red full strength, then Merry Merlot (one of our optional neutral colors). The center of the flower is black.
The stem and buds are Call Me Clover, and the plaid is Granny Apple Green sponged through a plaid stencil. The white layer was die-cut with a die from Blueprints 13, then mounted on a Call Me Clover card base. A few sequins were added for a little sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

I love that you opted to avoid a holiday card, especially since I thought of using "anything but holidays" for the dessert option. I love the way your soft plaid works with the poppy!

Barbara,
What a beautiful card. I caved and made a Christmas card. The sequins pull all of your elements together.
