Everyone who is scared of doodling/tangling/Zentangle, repeat after me: THERE ARE NO MISTAKES IN DOODLING/TANGLING/ZENTANGLE. Say it until you believe it.
It's true. If you go to the Zentangle blog, you will hear those words in their videos. Even if something goes a bit awry, when you're done, you can't even see it. And if you can see it, you need to let it go. I am a rather messy Zentangler, I think it's because I truly get into a rhythm and forget what I'm doing. But it always works out in the end. And it doesn't take forever. Please, give it a try. Zentangle has really changed my art life.
Background is several colors of the shimmer watercolors, wet on wet. When it was dry, I drew the leaf and started the Zentangle process. I wasn't intending to add the organic stuff at the bottom but it just happened. I love the organic patterns. I couldn't decide on a sentiment or if it might need a bit more of something, but I will by the time I mail this. I had a blast, but then again, it is in my comfort zone.

Well done Miss Tangle....this is great and a perfect "challenge" for you. I love the shimmery paints in the bg and your organics at the bottom are so cool...guess they just came about organically ;)

Love the shimmer bg...so rich in how the colors flow! I can see how it can be a great stress reliever. It's the patterns that are so interesting...and new ones to be found as the lines flow on your papers. Cool!

Fabulous! Love the zentagling (the little mushroom shapes at the bottom really caught my eye - glad you were moved to include them!) and the combination with the rich shimmery background works so well for an autumnal feel!

Every day I think it's so fun to see who's up for each challenge and who is stretched. And you are all so familiar to me now that I know who will embrace things and who will be uncomfortable. Yes, this is definitely a Jean challenge and you rocked it! Oh, that shimmer! Such a fun card!

That is a real work of art, Jean. It reminds me of some of the Unity stamps. I've tried zentangling, but truly it's just not me. I never was a doodler, even in school copybooks. I think the shimmer looks just marvellous and I especially love the little sprouty things growing from the bottom of the leaf - they remind me of honey dippers and little mushrooms.
