This card was made as Design Team inspiration card for Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch challenge. The optional theme was "Coffee, Tea, or Another Warm Beverage". Since I'm a tea drinker, the obvious choice was a pretty teapot!
This particular one is from the Stampin' Up! (SU) "Just Add Color" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I used several Copic markers to do the coloring. The specific color numbers are listed in the table below. I fussy cut the teapot out with paper snips.
I wanted the small panel to repeat the dots in the teapot, so chose a piece from the SU "Botanical Butterfly" set.
The card base is SU Perfect Plum. The floral panel is a sheet from a mat paper stack that I thought went well with the purple colors I used in the pot and the card base.
I wanted the sentiment to reflect "warm" and recalled I had the perfect stamp in my 1993 SU "More Great Greetings set. I stamped it with SU Perfect Plum ink, and used two different die sets to cut the white and purple cardstock.
The sentiment banner and the teapot were both mounted onto the card front using Tombow glue.
The hardest part in creating this card was fussy cutting the teapot and it's handle. Thankfully, the shape was very regular, so it turned out well.
I am rating the difficulty of this card as a "2" out of a possible "5". It can be used for just about any special occasion.
