I am beyond fashionably late for last week's Teapot Tuesday challenge, but I am very pleased I got a card made all the same. Polly is our hostess and she has a wonderful challenge of, "You're the Boss," meaning, emboss it! How fun! For this card I chose to ink up an embossing folder and emboss that way because I do love the distressed look this gives to projects.
I just love all the cards being made with the new StampinUp Daisy stamp and punch set, but I feel like I should use this set by heartfelt creations since they look so similar. However, this set takes a lot of work to get stamped and die cut perfectly so I am still considering getting the StampinUp set. Thank goodness I kept my old Stamp-a-ma-jig or I would not have been able to do this. I inked up the pinewood planks embossing folder with creamy caramel ink, then embossed it. The flowers and sentiment are stamped in close to cocoa ink, stamped off first for a softer look. Sponged close to cocoa ink around the sentiment panel and added some no name self-adhesive blush colored pearls for a finishing touch. This card is going off to a fellow scs'r who is dealing with some health issues. Thanks for looking today! ~Karen.

I use my intimation stamp-a-ma-jig, I have an L shape had hubby make for me and got a plastic like piece for stamping on is sturdy plastic and works as good as the real thing--I also for a spare got at craft store the L shape in fake wood. Your back ground is great as are your flowers and done in that color is pretty. Have the first daisy set and punch and then got new one too and love them-----sweet card

Pretty card, Karen. Love the monochromatic look. The embossed wood-grain adds so much. Love the pearls. Beautiful stamped & die-cut aster flower. I imagine this card is just stunning IRL. I have lots of wood-mount stamps, so I still have and use my Stamp-a-ma-jig, too. I love the little hello sentiment. You have the best sentiment stamps. Very nicely done!

Well, I assumed that was the SU set till I read your description, so maybe you don't really need it ;-). It looks beautiful, I love your monochromatic card. In spite of having the TH platform, I'd say I still use my SAMJ almost every day, low tech will always have it's uses.
