I finally settled on this Handpainted Jar for my inspiration - in part because I was intrigued by the non-traditional color scheme.
There is always a surprise when I makes a card - I stamped my image in BRONZE ink and embossed with clear powder - low and behold it changed to a soft gray - okay - that will still work for me! Took my card outside and applied bleach with a cotton swab to the small pumpkin and leaves. I let it sit in full sun for about 5 minutes and it bleached to a glorious white. Back inside, I added color back to my pumpkins and leaves using a combination of markers and prismacolor pencils. Then stamped & embossed the sentiment. I fleetingly considered using white Nuvo drops on the berries but alas there were SO MANY of them that I just knew I would muck it up . . .so bottle of bleach in hand I headed back outdoors - and this time with a toothpick, dotted in the tiniest bit of bleach to each individual berry. . . .and now they're white! I trimmed the card with a deckle edged scissors and sponged on the narrowest bit of peeled paint. Since I had added some orange to the leaves I decided to finish with some pumpkin colored gumdrops for contrast.

O.K., I love this and I love blue pumpkins. I've made a few cards with blue pumpkins myself. Your in and out of the house trips paid off because this is gorgeous and I am in love with your card. Your bleaching made those berries and the white pumpkin look fabulous.

Isn't that funny how that works, (I am playing around with yellow and gray and I managed to make a purple look grey when applied over the yellow)
I love the colors you made these pumpkins Linda, this is such a pretty happy scene.

Wow, Linda! That is so cool that the bronze ink with clear embossing powder turned to a soft gray. That is exciting when something like this happens. Traveling back and forth from inside to outside to bleach aspects of the panel resulted in outstanding work. The coloring of the pumpkins, leaves, and berries is marvelous. The trimming around the panel with the addition of peeled paint on the edges is gorgeous. And to top it off, this looks just like your inspiration piece! Great artwork, Linda! I love the card!
