Jeanne has given us a bright set of colours for the Color Challenge today. Her dessert option was to use an Embossing Folder.
I tried to create the look of terracotta for the pot by blending Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight. I think that it has worked quite well. The brushes are coloured using Light Daffodil Delight, with Flirty Flamingo, Dark Daffodil Delight and a few neutrals for the craft knife blade and the handles. After die cutting the stitched edge frame I used a Pacific Point marker to give the look of a faux layer. The strip of Pacific Point behind the art panel has been made into Faux Suede for some extra texture. I stamped the sentiment on white, thought it looked too stark so coloured it with Daffodil Delight. Then it looked too bright, so I went over it with Smoky Slate and Wink of Stella. Still not sure I have it right! Some sponging around the edge of the embossed layer frames the card.
Thanks for looking.

your image is so perfect for these colors - I like how you edged the image panel with the PP marker - I did think it was another layer - creative card and sentiment

Yes! Those colors worked great to create the terracotta pot! I was experimenting with colors just the other day to get a clay pot look. I like this paint brush image and that great sentiment.

Great card to send to a crafting friend, Annette. I especially love the terra cotta pot. The way you colored it with those highlights really makes it shine as if it were glazed Very cool effect!
