I made this card for Janine's wonderful DTGD challenge. If you are a fan club member, please come out and play today with the Dare To Get Dirty challenges. If you are not a fan club member, consider signing up. If you do, your name will be entered into a drawing and you may win a prize. It's a real win-win and lots of fun too!
I want to thank Janine for this wonderful DTGD challenge because it enabled me to make a card for this week's Teapot Tuesday challenge. Susie is our hostess and she chose a wonderful theme of "Rain, Hail or Shine" with a suggestion to use umbrellas/parasols. I have no umbrella's in my stash so was wondering how to do this when I read Janine's DTGD challenge and there was the solution- fun!
I know when I was seriously ill, seeing the word hope renewed my spirits and my strength enormously. Also, I think it is ok to let people know it is ok to be scared and/or afraid while being courageous at the same time. This card is going off to Julie and Dave who are dealing with some tough stuff right now. I want them to know they are in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to be.
Thanks for looking today! ~Karen

That sparkling rainbow is so, so beautiful. You have me singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow, now, as all the sparkle reminds me of the ruby shoes. It's such an encouraging card, too.
This is wonderful all around - so hope inspiring! I remember hearing something similar when I was going through my hardest days. I'm sure they will appreciate your encouragement.
