This is for Carey's Creative Sketch Challenge. I needed an encouragement card for a friend and I thought a hot air balloon represented endless possibility. I made a little creative adjustment using four different colors on the main panel; I wanted to show the progression of the hot air balloon going up from ground, over the grassy hills, to the blue sky and sunny days. It was easy to cut using a print-out of the sketch as a template. I cut it apart and traced for the cutting of the different DSP. Another idea is to cut four strips of paper, stack them up and cut all at once, either with a template or by eyeballing it. Go with the flow! The sky's the limit.
For the balloon, I colored directly on the stamp with markers in four colors. When it was dry, I painted on Wink of Stella on each colored strip. I added die-cut stitched clouds with silver sparkle along the stitches. Every cloud needs a silver lining.
Hope you can play along with Carey's sketch challenge. We look forward to seeing what you create. TFL

Diane, this is outstanding! Perfectly executed take on the sketch. Thanks for the helpful tips for the sketch - had I been that smart, creating mine would have gone a lot smoother!

Wonderful SU colors in the bg, and great soft coloring of the hot air balloon.
