Blueberries are in my life practically daily as we have a lovely patch of 8 mature bushes, that I enjoy harvesting. I call it the friendly fruit, as there are no thorns or squatting!
I veered off of Jennifer McGuire's Block Watercolor Stamping technique : https://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2...atercolor.html
and used a layer of hand sanitizer on the acrylic block, then sprinkling of Brusho, then a spritz of water, before stamping it on the watercolor paper. Dries faster and there's less warping. Ran it through a Tim Holtz EF and mounted it on a contrasting border paper. I used brusho on the image, too, just wetting the berries and sprinkling in the violet and purple powder. I used watercolor pencils on the basket. Added a textured circle rim of DO so the image would pop.

great job with the Brushos. Your design process is interesting to read. Luv the bg. We are harvesting
blueberries like crazy now too. Me thinks only YOU
have a pint basket of blueberries...in the fabulous
studio of yours.

Love your pretty background for your "friendly" fruit. A standout in the gallery.

Ha! Your background is so clever - it looks just like crushed berries had stained the paper, and the embossing folder only adds to the berry feel. I know what you mean about no thorns - we always get a few scratches blackberry picking, and I was very appreciative of a work colleague picking all his gooseberries to bring in for two of us to take home, they can really spike! Whoever gets this will most certainly enjoy it.

I swear I had left a comment on this fun card, but now I don’t see it. I was meaning to comment about how fun blueberry picking is and that my kids and I go pick our four bushes almost daily. They love it! I was also going to say how brilliant that Brushos background is because it looks perfectly berry stained. Way cool!
