Today Jeanne challenged us to "Base + 1" to make a card with just one layer on the card base. I knew immediately that I wanted to use my favorite new sunburst stencil on my cardbase and that I was making another card for my sister-in-law for her recovery after surgery. I made her one on Wednesday and then decided why make one when I can make three? So I'm making one from my brother-in-law and one from my mother-in-law. My kids will have to make their own. I think my SIL will be happy to have five cards waiting for her after her surgery. I went searching through my images for a good "love" image and found this one that had been a freebie in the Kit and Clowder Facebook group. I love it for this because the girl fish's long eyelashes remind me of my SIL's eyelash extensions. Since I was using fish, I decided to go with the stacked stencil technique and add some bubbles into that sunburst. I cut the fish out with my ScanNCut and popped them up. Nice, quick, and easy card. Took me exactly 30 minutes from start to finish.

What a fabulous card to make for your SIL who is recovering from surgery. Things that make us smile or laugh are so important during recovery and this does so beautifully Jen! I adore the long eyelashes on the girl fish too! ~Karen.

Very nicely crafted, Jen! And how kind of you to make sure your SIL has all those nice cards to look at once she is able. I love the bokeh look bubbles in the sponged background.
