ETA - the thumb looks really small and weird, trying to see how it looks with a vertical layout.
And - I did add bumblebees, since I had to put another panel on the back of the card with a sentiment, for the grandparents to write on. I added four bumblebees, one in each corner....
It just so so happens that a card I've been working on today for a work commission fits the You've Been Framed WTUI challenge. I used the shadowbox frame card linked in the challenge post, changing the dimensions so that the area inside the frame would be just the width of my train dies (Ethan likes trains, the alphabet and bumblebees. I didn't manage to fit those in.)
Front - laid out the alphabet stamps over the white panel and stamped with a spectrum pad. Stamped the letters to spell his name in black and fussy-cut them. I used Spellbinders mega ovals to cut the window, making sure that only the cityscape would be seen, and added the little helicopter and plane.
(layered, with vellum for the windows).
For the inside, I sponged the cloudy sky. The background skyline is a TH die, and then I used the Amy Design one which goes with the train. The train was cut twice, and has vellum coloured yellow sandwiched between the layers. I cut the viaduct twice, one from holographic silver (it's not actually fluorescent lime green) and once from kraft, which I trimmed to add the trees and ground. The shadowbox format let me pop the viaduct and train up on foam tape, and the happy birthday sentiment is stuck along the bottom part of the frame.

OMG...this is wicked (New England slang) amazing. Wow, love the scene you have created here. This took some time to create but it is so worth it. You know I'm a die cut "have to have" kinda gal so I'm off to google this set. I already have the city set. I loved your framed challenge today!!
