Fun card with no two ever alike! I've tried several color combos on the rose and they all turned out lovely.
FIRST: stamp the frame (I learned this helped me keep subsequent images reasonably centered on the card front).
SECOND: color the 'solid' rubber image with colored markers (go ahead and scribble); use multiple greens on the leaves & stems and multiple colors on the rose. Once all the rubber is colored, spritz the rubber 3-4 times with water (you want the water *just* beginning to pool on the rubber so the colors mix/run). Stamp the image within the already stamped frame... leave the stamp sit long enough on the CS so the water and colors transfer & absorb.
THIRD: ONLY after second step's image is thoroughly dry, ink the 'linear' image with black ink and stamp over the colored image. (I love how Rubbernecker stamps are designed for 'loose' alignment... I can't go wrong)
FOURTH (Optional): stamp a salutation. But, IMO, it is just as lovely without.
I prefer Local King Rubber Stamp's marker sets. They are juicy enough for this technique and seem to last forever for this purpose.
