Scrapbook layout done featuring some friends of mine who recently did a mission trip to Honduras. I consider her one of my daughters and I love her heart (and that of her husband's). The picture of her with one of the little ones grabs my heart.
I used the colors in the Global Design Project challenge: Seaside Spray, Terracotta Tile and Pear Pizzazz.
I really love my bg on the page on the left, I stamped the little tiny heart from Tiny Tags by brushing it with the pear or the seaside color. I did that all over the page and then I took a sponge dipped in white paint and softened it up. Then it was too white so I did a wash in the colors all over the page. Then I did another light coat of sponged white paint. I colored the rose with the left over paint - I did three flowers. I cut them up to make the flower larger by adding the petals underneath the top flower. One piece was left over and I put it on the page on the right.
Thanks so much for looking - I am loving this scrapbook. I am just doing things that make me smile or grab my heart and it is a pleasure to look back on. Hugz

How inspirational, Nancy. I love the write up that goes with these two fabulous journal pages. You can always feel that magical quality when art work truely comes from the heart. The colors are so soft and pretty.

Gorgeous scrapbook pages! I love the layered frames on the left and of course the vintage look on both of them! The sponging worked so well on the one on the left!!

Nancy, these are not only super gorgeous, but really heartwarming and inspirational too. Wow! I adore how you framed the photos using this wonderful rose stamp and die set. I love the background to the page on the left and was anxious to read how you did this. You are a master at doing this kind of thing that does not come naturally to me at all, however, I so appreciate you writing down the details. This is going into my favorites so I can try this technique when I am feeling brave. Gorgeous layouts my friend! Gorgeous! ~Karen.
Nancy, this is just lovely! I am so glad you have joined us scrappers! I also, like your idea of scrapping just what makes you happy. I am always trying to do my photos in order!
