I got the inspiration for my design from this card I saw on Pinterest. I liked the watercolored(?) scoops on the ice cream cone, so decided to do that for my card. The color scheme, of course, comes from the challenge.
I sprayed a few scraps of watercolor paper with clear water, then dropped in pink & purple watercolors. After they dried just a bit, I spritzed them with my homemade Perfect Pearls mist, for added shimmer. Since the colors wanted to blend together, I had to go back in with my paints a couple of times, to get the variation in color. Finally, I dried them with my heat tool. I die cut the scoops with the "Color Layering Ice Cream" coordinating die. I also stamped the cone detail layer onto a scrap of textured tan cardstock with Rich Cocoa ink. I die cut that, & inked a bit with Brushed Corduroy, just to accent the paper's texture & add more of that "ice cream cone" look.
I used "Best Pun Ever" for the greeting. I figured the "you're the coolest" words went quite well with the ice cream! I stamped the "you're" on a scrap of smooth tan cardstock with Picked Raspberry Oxide ink, and used Wilted Violet Oxide ink for the "coolest." With the "the" stamp in my MISTI, I inked up the lower portion with Wilted Violet, daubed off some from the upper part of the stamp with a dry rag, and stamped it. I repeated the process with Picked Raspberry on the upper part, to create a 2-tone blend. I like the way the greeting colors look like they "melt" into each other.
I glued down my ice cream cone & scoops with onto a 4x5-1/4" panel of pink cardstock. I glued my greeting strips, angling them slightly for a playful look. Finally, I went to town with my sequins! I made kind of a cascade down the left side of the card, and added some magenta & purple ones to the ice cream scoops, just for balance. And why not sequins on ice cream??? Finally, I matted my panel with a 1/16" purple mat, and adhered that to a white card base. I really pushed my time limit with this card--only 18 seconds to spare--whew!

what a nice ice cream cone- reminds me of the huckleberry ice cream we got in Montana. This totally works for the It's Melting challenge too Very clever to use sequins for your embellishments!

Great colors on this ice cream. It is wonderful when we can find a card to inspire our own creativity. The added sequins really give this card some fun pizzazz.
