This week, Karen is hosting and has chosen the lovely combination of Rococo Rose, Soft Sea Foam and Very Vanilla, with a dessert option to use pearls.
I pulled out one of my old but favorite Christmas stamp sets and heat embossed both the poinsettia and sentiment on watercolor paper. Reinkers were used for watercoloring, drying between layers to deepen the color for shadows on the flower plus in and around the flower and sentiment with the green. After spattering with pearlized metallic acrylic paint, I let the panel completely dry before die cutting with the scallop rectangle die, then adhered it to a panel of the gorgeous Rococo Rose, then added to an Ivory card base with foam tape. Ivory Seashell Crystal Drops were added to the middle of the flower as a finishing touch.
Thanks for looking and I hope you'll join the Color Challenge this week!
