I've been playing around with alcohol inks during the past week for Ina's S2S challenge. Such fun and so easy. You can't go wrong with these inks but beware...they are addictive. Once you start you can't stop. Just make sure you use them in a ventilated area and wear disposable gloves.
I also put a piece of foil on the inks...the secret is to do it when the inks start getting sticky...and just rub. Pieces of foil are left behind on the sticky inks....it shines IRL.
The panels come out so pretty that it is a shame to cut them but I had seen on YouTube some pretty cards with white panels. After I had cut my panel down I realised I'd cut the wrong size so was cutting off strips. I never throw a thing away and knew they would come in handy, but I didn't realise how soon lol.
I deliberately cut the panels so they weren't evenly spaced, but the white was looking too stark so out come the strips again and plonked on the white. I do like colour lol.
Sentiment stamped, Bling added and done.
TFL. Happy day

That is one uber cool bg. I like the contrast of the white panel...it gives the eye somewhere to rest before deep diving right back in. This card just exudes fun.

I am loving reading about your alcohol ink adventures and I burst out laughing when I read your "technique". Great results Jayne, you must be tickled pink with all these cards. I never throw anything out either.

I'm one of the worst when it comes to "saving everything". I have trouble throwing away stuff. (smh) Beautiful colors achieved using your alcohol inks, Jayne! Whenever I think something is too stark, I either sponge the edges with matching color or add some small splatters to the area~
