My Friend Janice sent me these die cuts a million and one years ago. ( she does really neat things with black silhouettes and it's not something I think to do so, lucky for me I still had them) Thanks Janice! I did add some clear stickles to them for some contrast. the holes in the craft button were not large enough to run the hemp cord through so it was tied on with scrappers floss. The cardboard was painted last year some time and its a left over scrap. the background was done wrinkle free distress style with the DOX inks. so, this one probably fits the stars and stripes MM & the stripes challenges because, the paint is only on the tops of the cardboard. you can see stripes right? thanks for this challenge Angie, & tfl.

OMG! I busted out laughing at this sentiment. I think this every time I go to Amazon to get something else that I don't have and need. Super fun card for a crafty friend.

I resemble that sentiment!!! When I got into making my own cards some 25 years ago my sister said I would save hundreds if not thousands of dollars over the years making my own instead of buying at Hallmark - ha ha ha ha ha ha yep now each one ONLY costs me about $85.98 to make!!!!! (and don't we always see something on someone else's card that we HAVE to have.) Love all the bits & scraps you put together to make a great mixed media card.

Awesome card Stacy and I need that sentiment lol. Love how you created a different take on the silhouette. I’m a big fan of textures and love the striped cardboard. That die cut is awesome. Tfs. Happy day

Still laughing from reading that sentiment!!! It is so perfect for all of us! Love your use of the corrugated cardboard and the whole mixed media look of the card.
