Thank you Sabrina (Cook22) for yesterday's Way to Use it~Focus on the Stripes. I love your link to our Stars and Stripes Forever! It was uplifting to me.
And Dina (dini) with today's MIX Stars and Stripes, thank you for allowing our artistic take on the challenge. I indeed included Stars...but for the stripes, you'll have to go there in your mind. You'll have to 'see' the flag waving in my birthday card and know the stripes are there!
This image is a wonderful Technique Junkies A2 sized background. I loved it when I received it a few weeks ago, but I must admit, I didn't SEE a flag in it until yesterday and the challenges. I bought it to use creating starry skies. And yet...with my DOX ink bg, it appears there are stripes...what do you think? Do you see them, or is it just my artistic vision?
After brayering the background in various DO blues and reds, I inked the stamp with the VF and then used the Ranger 'Sea Foam White' ep. The sentiment was a collage of Technique Tuesday's and Artistic Outpost words. A diecut star from Sizzix little bits in yellow and the Washi Tape #25 over the top. Dear son's best friend celebrated his 25th yesterday...what a day, fireworks EVERY year.
So, I am counting on the illusion of stripes to let me slide into these challenges. Thanks for your comments. Hope your day was filled with heartwarming music and delicious favorite foods!

The brayered background looks super - it reminded me of the old solid BG papers. Sigh...What a fantastic background stamp - I look forward to seeing what else you do with it. I'm glad you enjoyed the Sousa.
