I made this card for the Alphabet Challenge for the letter Q for quilt. Placed 6" wide sookwong tape on card front, trimmed to fit. Cut strips of 1" wide coordinating papers, then carefully placed papers on card front, leaving a small space between papers. Once the papers were placed, then applied silver leaf in between the papers for a faux grout technique. Placed 1/4" wide sookwong tape around outer edges of mat layer, and applied silver leaf to this. Adhered quilt layer to mat layer. Stamped flowers and leaves from Needle and Thread stamp set, and die cut out. Used piercing die in Needlepoint Elements Framelits, then punched out with Stampinup Pretty label punch, then stamped sentiment. This card was a little involved, but was really fun to make. Thanks for looking today. ~Karen.

Awesome design with those papers, Karen! The silver in between is so unique and looks wonderful. I echo Sharon's remark about looking like a happy quilt. Well done, my friend!

Karen, this is gorgeous! I was studying your card and looking at your "grout" trying to determine what it is, then I read your write up. So pretty, love the silver leaf, the touch of sparkle is beautiful. Wonderful papers, just a lovely card.
