I'm this week's WTUI hostess for Get Back to Nature. Hope you'll play along!
I brayered sage green paint on gel plate, laid leaves down leaves for first layer, lifted paper, brayered paint over leaves, lined up leaves with print and brayered over back to get veins. After it was dry, I distressed edges of panel and adhered to Kraft card base. Stamped sentiment, attached birch bark and skeleton leaves. Looped twine and gold thread and glued over leaves to complete. TFL

WOW! This is in my faves now too! What a gorgeous background you made with your gelli plate! I have to try that. Everything about this card is so natural and organic and just gorgeous!!!

What a beauty, Carla. The quote you choose really speaks to me right now. Every element just magnifies nature! Love the gel print, the skeleton leaves and especially the birch bark.
We have to remove our beloved river birch this fall due to ill health. I am so sad...the light in that part of the yard will definitely change...

So beautiful and inspirational and I am sure was fun to make. One4joy and I live in the same town and we also lost our birches. I have just a few bark piece left. Sigh.
