I used three different backgrounds from my stash. They are all of a different age and style and truthfully, I'm not sure what mediums I used to make them. Maybe I should write on the back. The only one I'm sure of is the thin pieces; those were made with alcohol ink on glossy cs. The others I know I used the gel plate. I must have sprayed the larger piece with Perfect Pearls.
For the sketch, I didn't want to cover my background with another layer so instead, I cut thin pieces of the alcohol ink background to delineate the angled areas. Gives the sketch a different emphasis. I made the card square because that's what I thought it should be.
This is also for yesterday's tea party. What a sad few parties we've had lately. One thing I know for sure, life is not fair. Why do some live so long and others not long enough? They say the good die young; who knows? So this is for Jacob's grandparents. Bless them for caring for him right to the end.
I don't have many sympathy sentiments, but I especially like this one. I don't care for 'I'm sorry for your loss', because one doesn't lose their loved one. This is a quote I found online that I have been writing in sympathy cards: 'I often think that people we have loved and who have loved us become a part of us forever.'

Oh I love those words. What a beautiful 'tie-dye' card too!! Perfect for this sentiment.

Beautiful card...the center panel with your sunburst looks Amazing! Of course, the sentiment is a very caring, thoughtful one, and I also love what you said inside too~
