Oh, luscious, Chris!!! Your choice for the Color Challenge had me thinking of water again. And well, you know one thing leads to another. I am using red as my neutral.
Isn't this just the funniest girlfriend stamp? And what is better than girlfriends who love to STAMP? I inked up the whole image in Archival 'Watering Can' grey. Embossed the wooden boat. Colored the water with Costal Cabana hues in dots, and paper pieced the friends bathing suits in Bright Sunny Yellow.
The friends were fussy cut from the original stamped panel. I wanted them to be a bit dimensional in the boat. I stamped another boat for a tiny bit of bulk. A few staples to hold the panels to the heavy base.
And the best part...digging in my grandmothers button box for HEARTS. One metal with sparkle and one carved glass. While all our hearts work to keep us alive, our true hearts are always reaching out, searching for connection. And truly that is what keeps our physical hearts beating.
Thanks for your comments, they truly inspire me.

What a fabulous card with the two ladies! Isn’t it fun digging in your grandmother’s box? I have my mother’s that my grandmother gave her, and I find amazing old trinkets. Buttons, lace and other fun items.

A fabulous image and love how you made use of the challenge colors. I loved my grandmother's button jar and had some very favorites in it. After she died and we went through her things, I found the jar that was used for her button collection, but the buttons were gone. I was so disappointed. I use to play with those buttons for hours. I would turn to the furniture pages in her Sears catalog, and use the buttons as people who sat on the furniture. Your card has brought back some happy memories.
