My Father's Day stamps were still on my worktable, and the tweedy look that this technique can give inspired a dad card. My dad would never be caught wearing shoes like this--but when I was a child, he did take great pride in keeping his wingtips shiny using a shoe polish color called Oxblood. (It was a deep burgundy/brown.)
These shoes remind me of golf shoes.
I used Stampin' Spots for the background. They are the perfect size--especially for an ATC. Also, they are not too juicy.
I also used the Stampin' Spots around the edges of both layers to give it a DTP frame.
This Artist Trading Card is for my ATC Technique Album.

What an adorable father's day card! No body can fill a dad's shoes!!! We were thinking alike in the color theme here. Yours looks good with your design.

What a terrific Father's Day card this is. Your background is wonderful and truly highlights this fabulous paper-pieced shoe beautifully. I adore shoes like this and kind of wish they would come back. ~Karen.
