Polly has challenged us today to use bubble wrap on our cards. Which got me digging through my drawer of backgrounds, because I knew I had something. I made this one day when I was playing with my gelli plate. I had used bubble wrap to get a cool texture on the gelli print and then just "stamped" the bubble wrap onto some paper. It felt a little white and plain, so I stamped some crackle background and splattered with a bit of Aged Mahogany DOX ink. Today I needed a card for my husband's uncle who is having a 70th birthday party tomorrow. So this background was nice masculine colors for the card. I copied a joke from one of the cards that my dad got when he turned 70. The inside says "Now it's something that cool people do." I colored Gus with masculine colors to match my bubble wrap background and I had to give him some orange gifts because it's my birthday today and I always put some "me" into the card I make on my birthday :0)

Giggle! This is just hilarious Jen, even though I can totally relate to this. I love your bubble wrap bg and how that highlights this image perfectly! ~Karen.

A very happy birthday to you, Jen! Orange you glad it’s not you celebrating 70? I love you added to the bag to make it just right for your birthday card today. The uncle will certainly chuckle.
Gelli printing is such fun, but so much clean up!
