Warm Rosy Thoughts

Photo Details
Poster: Art Deco Diva

I made this card for last Tuesday's Teapot Tuesday party so I am just barely getting this in under the wire- whew! Anita is our hostess and she has a wonderful challenge of "Teapotter's Power" meaning "the power of a card" which is so true. These roses are a bit tricky to stamp because they fit together to build an image. The x's are so tiny it is hard to line this up. I finally resorted to my stamp-a-ma-jig and that worked out quite well actually. There is an ink smudge I managed to do at the end, thus the yellow butterfly (sigh) One of last week's recipient's favorite colors is blue, so I thought it would be fun to try these roses in blue, and I am glad I did. Thanks for looking today. ~Karen.

Gorgeous card! I'm glad you got it done in time! So very pretty! The butterfly is a perfect addition even though you added it to cover a smudge! fav'd

I love these blue roses, they are perfect for Carleta the butterfly is just happy so settle there nobody would suspect a smudge under the wings... and you are right we've got power to make someone smile to let someone know people are thinking about them are praying for them that's our Teapotter's Power of Love!!

Love the fun feel of this with the polka dotted paper. Your attention to detail in lining those x's up, well, I take my hat off to you, my friend! Ah, the power of card. Wonderful tea potter card, Karen.

I can see how that stamp would be tough to stamp, but it sure is beautiful. I love the colors you used. And I consider the smudge a happy accident because the yellow butterfly is a great addition to the card. So lovely!

The stitching are a great back drop to the butterfly. Stunning!

I think I need to try this stitching technique sometime. I hope you do not mind.

Oh goodness - this is lovely! You took a difficult-to-pull-off stamp type (in my opinion those "stitched" stamps are buggers to work with!) and made it stunning!

Even tho you had a smudge, I think the butterfly is the perfect pop of color for your lovely roses. Love how everything coordinates so well together.
