I'll admit that when I first saw Barbara's choices of colors this week I was a bit stumped, but I ended up having fun with the colors once I began thinking outside of florals. Green always makes me think flowers, but the mint just didn't seem to fit. When thinking about what I would create I thought that the coral and olive would be my main focus and planned on using the mint as an accent (to my floral image). When I went outside my comfort zone the mint ended up as star of the show!
This stamp set is probably my favorite from SU's catalog last year and yet I've only used it a few times. I was happy to get it out again. For the long wavy lines I stamped the lines from Lilypad Lake twice, meeting up roughly in the center. Since I knew it would be covered up it didn't matter if they aligned exactly.

I shared your angst with the color combo and love that you found a wonderfully inventive way to use them! The hippo and bird are so cute framed up with the pretty leaf background dsp in the frame and backed by the mint wavy lines. Great design Jeanne!

What a cute rhino Jeanne, and colored so well!! I like the bird on his trunk. Isn't it funny how sometime we try to do less with a color and it become the main show. I really like all your leaves.

Jeanne, I’m so glad you persevered with this color challenge. What a great card you created! I adore this cute rhino and his bird friend. I love the frame you created around them, and the wavy lines are a brilliant touch to set them off!
