We have a very interesting site for the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge! There are so many wonderful things to see & I chose THIS for my inspiration.
For my version, I inked some watercolor stamps w/ distress oxide inks, misted, then stamped them onto watercolor paper. In some places, I took a water brush & dragged the color more toward the center. One of the splatter images was inked w/ black DOX & stamped in the upper corner. When dry, I used a set of deckle rectangle dies to cut the 3 panels & edged them w/ a gold leaf pen. I used the blue & black DOX inks to paint the die cut flower branch & added mirror gold centers & wrapped some black & gold thread around a couple of the panels before putting it all together.
Thanks so much for looking. Closeups are on my blog: The Write Stuff

You used such a super design for your card and I love how you used the gold leaf pen. A lot of goodness here, Julie.

An exceptional take on your inspiration, Julie. I just had to sit and look at this for quite awhile. The composition and light of hand is perfect. Love, love this.

I love the wonderful dimension in this card, Julie. Your layered background is gorgeous and your blue flowers add beautiful contrast in your foreground. Lovely card.
